Hotel renovation

Building
The transformation of the former Nantes Courthouse into a 4-star Radisson Blu hotel is an iconic example of rehabilitating a heritage building into an international-standard hotel.
Launched in the summer of 2010 under the project ownership of the Loire-Atlantique General Council, the project was completed in late 2012, resulting in a 142-room hotel, including 20 suites, complemented by a restaurant, a cultural space, and a spa and fitness area. This conversion preserved the monument's architectural character while meeting the requirements of a contemporary hotel.
This project also distinguished itself by becoming the first hotel renovation to be certified "NF Bâtiments Tertiaires – Démarche HQE," demonstrating an innovative environmental approach for this type of project.
Throughout the operation, the project teams relied on Mezzoteam to centralize documents, facilitate communication between the numerous stakeholders, and ensure collaborative tracking of construction progress. The platform helped streamline coordination for a project that brought together diverse expertise to work on a particularly demanding heritage building.
The success of this transformation was built on the collaboration of all project stakeholders: the owner, Loire-Atlantique General Council; the investor, AXA Real Estate; the developer, Altarea Cogedim; the hotel operator, Radisson Blu – Rezidor Hotel Group; the architect, DTACC – Jacques Cholet; the interior designer, Ocre Bleu – Jean-Philippe Nuel; as well as the construction companies, including Léon Grosse, Axima, and Spie.
