Extension of Line 3 to the north and south

Transport and Infrastructure
The Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolitan Authority relied on Mezzoteam, our Construction Project Management platform, to support the extension of Marseille’s T3 tramway line, a major project that is strengthening mobility between the north and south of the city over the long term.
Commissioned in January 2026, this extension brings the line to 9.8 km and 22 stations, with 12 new stations added along a 6.2 km route. It now connects Gèze to La Gaye in 40 minutes, providing an efficient alternative to road travel while facilitating connections with other modes of transport.
The project also includes the development of strategic infrastructure, including a new maintenance and stabling centre at Sainte-Marguerite Dromel, designed to accommodate up to 30 tram sets, as well as a 600-space park-and-ride facility designed to encourage intermodal travel. The arrival of new CAF tram sets also contributes to improving passenger comfort and supporting the development of Marseille’s transport network.
