Construction of the t1 line

Transport and Infrastructure
The Lausanne t1 tramway marks a major milestone in the transformation of mobility for the Lausanne-Morges metropolitan area. Connecting Lausanne city center to Renens station, this first line has supported the development of public transport while fostering urban renewal in the western part of Lausanne.
Spanning 4.5 km, the line serves rapidly evolving neighborhoods and significantly improves daily commutes through frequent service, reduced travel times, and enhanced accessibility for all users, particularly those with reduced mobility. Beyond the transport infrastructure, the project has contributed to the revitalization of Renens city center and the conversion of former industrial sites into new residential districts.
The completion of this first line, part of the "Axes forts" (Major Routes) program, involved numerous stakeholders throughout the design and construction phases.
Mezzoteam supported the project by centralizing documents and communications within a common data environment, ensuring reliable information sharing, better coordination among stakeholders, and full traceability throughout the operation.
