Building
After fifteen years of closure and an extensive renovation program, La Samaritaine reopened its doors in 2021, transforming into a mixed-use space that combines a department store, a five-star hotel, offices, social housing, and a daycare center. This exceptional project, led by LVMH, stands as one of the most ambitious heritage renovation operations ever carried out in the heart of Paris.
The complexity of the project lay as much in restoring remarkable architectural heritage as in transforming the structure to accommodate new uses. The teams carried out significant work to reinforce existing structures, create new floor space, and integrate contemporary interventions into a listed building.
To manage these technical operations, the project teams chose Mezzoteam. The platform made it possible to centralize communications, share technical documents, and ensure rigorous monitoring of the beam reinforcement work and the creation of new surfaces within an environment involving numerous stakeholders.
On a project of this scale, characterized by particularly high heritage, regulatory, and technical requirements, the digitalization of document management and collaboration proved to be an essential lever for securing operational oversight and streamlining coordination among all parties right up to the project's delivery.
