Household Waste Treatment Center

Industry and Energy
The Isséane project, led by the Syctom of the Paris metropolitan area, marked a major milestone in the modernization of waste treatment infrastructure in the Île-de-France region. The reconstruction of this energy-from-waste plant in Issy-les-Moulineaux involved numerous stakeholders over more than four years, with an ambitious goal: to create the first waste treatment center of this scale integrated into an urban environment.
To support the coordination of all project stakeholders, Syctom relied on the Mezzoteam platform from the start of operations in 2003. As a true shared workspace, it centralized documents, facilitated communication, and ensured the tracking of various project phases through to delivery.
Today, Isséane is a benchmark facility for household waste recovery. The site processes waste for over a million residents across the Hauts-de-Seine, several municipalities in the Yvelines, and western Paris.
The center combines two complementary activities:
Beyond its industrial performance, Isséane is also distinguished by its architectural and environmental integration. Largely buried underground and designed according to High Environmental Quality (HQE) standards, the site meets the strict requirements of operating in a dense urban area while minimizing its visual and environmental impact.
This iconic project demonstrates Mezzoteam's ability to support complex infrastructure operations, bringing together multiple stakeholders, large volumes of documentation, and high standards for coordination, traceability, and collaboration.
