Construction of a positive-energy office building

Building
With 23,300 m² of office space, Green Office® Meudon established itself as the first large-scale positive-energy commercial building in France. Developed by Bouygues Immobilier and designed by Ion Enescu (Ateliers 115 Architectes), this project marked a turning point in sustainable building design by reconciling energy performance, user quality, and architectural innovation.
As the first building to benefit from a private energy performance contract, Green Office® Meudon demonstrated that it was possible to combine energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and controlled operating costs. Its bioclimatic architecture, centralized energy management, natural summer ventilation, and the integration of photovoltaic panels helped evolve standards for commercial real estate.
To support the delivery of this demanding project, the project teams relied on the Mezzoteam platform to centralize documents, streamline communication between stakeholders, and ensure a single source of truth throughout the construction process. This collaborative organization facilitated the coordination of the various parties involved and helped secure the monitoring of a project that was particularly innovative from both a technical and environmental perspective.
Even today, Green Office® Meudon remains an example of a building designed according to the principles of bioclimatic architecture, demonstrating that an integrated approach to energy performance, collaboration, and user comfort makes it possible to create sustainable and long-lasting real estate assets.
