Line A extension

Transport and Infrastructure
The rollout of Clermont-Ferrand's first tram line marked a major milestone in the development of the metropolitan area's mobility. To support this 14 km, 31-station structural project with an investment of nearly €290 million, the SMTC chose Mezzoteam as its collaborative platform to centralize and secure all project documents and communications.
Throughout the construction process, Mezzoteam helped structure document management, facilitate collaboration among the many stakeholders, and ensure the traceability of technical information. This document continuity proved effective enough to be extended beyond the line's commissioning in 2006. A portion of the technical data was retained on the platform to support operations teams, ensuring a smooth transition from the construction phase to infrastructure operation.
This continued trust naturally led the SMTC to rely on Mezzoteam once again for the extension of Line A to the Vergnes district. This 1.7 km extension project, which includes three new stations and serves nearly 10,000 residents and jobs, benefited from the same collaborative approach to manage correspondence, technical documents, and project deliverables.
This case study illustrates Mezzoteam's ability to support transport projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from design and construction to operation and subsequent infrastructure extensions.
