Construction of a shopping center

Building
The construction of Aéroville was a major coordination challenge for all parties involved. Located at the heart of the Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport hub, this 80,000 m² retail and leisure complex was designed to welcome travelers, airport employees, and local residents to a unique destination featuring 200 shops, 25 restaurants, a 12-screen multiplex cinema, numerous services, and nearly 4,000 parking spaces.
Designed by Philippe Chiambaretta Architecte, the project stands out for its open, light-filled architecture, organized on a single level to ensure smooth visitor flow. Its design, structured around nine volumes and punctuated by four large domes that provide natural light and visual landmarks, required particularly rigorous coordination between the client, project management teams, and contractors.
Throughout the construction process, the teams had to integrate numerous design changes, including several permit amendments and over a hundred modification requests impacting both the architecture and technical networks. In this evolving context, Mezzoteam made it possible to centralize communications, manage approval workflows, and ensure reliable document distribution to all project stakeholders.
Delivered in 2013, Aéroville has become one of the leading shopping centers in the Île-de-France region and a true hub for the local community. The project also contributed to the creation of over 1,500 jobs, demonstrating its ability to sustainably support the economic development of the airport area.
